Watch of the Weekend: The Princess Diaries

This weekend I had some time to kill so I decided to watch my The Princess Diaries DVD. Needless to say, I have had this DVD since it first came out and it isn't my first time watching it as I absolutely love it.

The Princess Diaries is a 2001 movie is based upon the books by author Meg Cabot. Anne Hathaway plays Mia Thermopolis who is just your average teenager. She goes to Albert Einstein High School and loves spending time with her best friend, Lily Moscowitch and her cat Fat Louie. Mia has a MAJOR crush on Josh Richter but she doesn't think she could stand a chance because of her insecurities. You see, in her own words Mia hasn't fully developed in the chest area. Mia is also very tall, a total freak if you'd ask her. To top it all off she is flunking algebra and it doesn't help that her paternal grandmother (Julie Andews) from Genovia, which she doesn't particularly like because she hasn't made an effort to keep in touch with Mia upon till this point, has been trying to contact her because apparently she has some important news for her....

The movie can be watched on YouTube, just click play below.

  1. That blue dress Mia is wearing at her first dinnerparty (seen on the youtubestill) is inspired by the dress Crownprincess Victoria of Sweden wore at Nobelprizedinner 1997. Not sure where I read that so I dont have the source but the resemblance cant be denied :)
